I recently received a notice from SF Planning Dept for a plan to build on the old Esprit site at 900 Minnesota. They are asking for exemption from some of the regulations for the Dogpatch Historic District, ie, 5 and 6 story residence/office bldgs, underground parking, and partial demolotion of existing buildings. As a homeowner on Minnesota Street I am horrified at the prospect. I have contacted our supervisor who says that because the project goes through Planning before it reaches the supes, we should work with that dept first.
